High Quality Mental Health Care without Financial Barriers

At My-Therapist, we believe everyone deserves accessible mental health care. Our dedicated therapists offer high-quality, cost-effective services to prioritize your well-being without financial barriers. Take the first step towards a healthier, happier you.

1. Sliding Scale Fees: We understand that the cost of therapy can be a barrier for many. That's why we offer sliding scale fees based on income and financial circumstances. This ensures that our services are affordable for those with varying budget constraints.
2. Insurance Verification: Our team works diligently to verify your insurance benefits, allowing clients to utilize their mental health benefits and reduce out-of-pocket expenses. We partner with Thrizer and Mentaya so you know your out of pocket cost before ever getting started.
3. Flexible Payment Options: We strive to accommodate our clients by offering flexible payment options, including credit card payments and HSA/FSA utilization. By providing multiple ways to pay for our services, we aim to ease the financial commitment of therapy.
4. Community Partnerships: We actively seek partnerships with community organizations and local agencies to explore grant opportunities and collaborate on initiatives that promote affordable mental health care. These partnerships enable us to extend our services to a broader population.
5. Therapy Intern Program: We are proud to host a therapy intern program, where master's level interns provide counseling services under the supervision of experienced therapists. This program not only enriches the learning experience for interns but also offers reduced-fee counseling for clients.
6. Educational Workshops and Resources: In addition to traditional therapy sessions, we offer affordable educational workshops and provide access to online resources to support ongoing personal growth and self-help.

Our commitment to affordability reflects our belief that everyone deserves access to quality mental health care. By implementing these measures, we aim to reduce financial barriers and ensure that individuals and couples can prioritize their well-being without shouldering overwhelming costs.

Payments & Insurance

We DO NOT accept insurance and are considered an out-of-network provider.

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for out-of-network services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

As an out-of-network provider, we have partnered with Thrizer & Mentaya to help our clients save money on therapy. Use the buttons below to see if you qualify for insurance reimbursement.

When speaking with your insurance provider, we would recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your out-of-network benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?

  • Does my plan cover out-of-network services?

  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

  • If I have a copay for therapy, how much is it?

  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

A note about Couples Counseling: Most insurers do not cover or reimburse couples counseling at all, even out of network. These are some questions you should ask your insurer to find out if yours does provide coverage:

  • Specifically ask, “Do you pay for diagnostic code Z63.0 – Problems in relationship with spouse or partner

  • If they do, ask them what procedure code it should be billed under. Make them look it up and give you a reference. Ask how many sessions they will cover. Have them provide that information to you in writing.

Payment

Payment for services is due the day services are provided. We do require that a valid credit card be kept on file for all clients. Your credit card on file will be billed the morning of you scheduled session.

We accept cash, check, Visa, American Express, and Mastercard as forms of payment. If you have a flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA) those can be used to pay for therapy, however we require a backup credit card on file to cover any unpaid balances.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand otherwise, you will be charged for the full rate of the session.
